InterviewsCFF: The name Hana is well known throughout the female wrestling world - when did you start your wrestling career and what prompted its start? Hana: I started at the beginning of the nineties as a wrestler. From about 1993 on I also became a wrestling coach. At that time I arranged a big casting call with more than 100 girls to hire wrestlers for video productions. I selected the ladies and then trained them on a regular basis. My personal involvement with wrestling began when I answered an advertisement in Vienna. The ad said they were seeking “sports women to participate in a sports movie.” Immediately I felt that this was something that might interest me. I felt this could be interesting for me because I had performed well in track athletics. So I met with the produce who was DWW by the way. They selected me. W what they wanted me to do was agreeable with me and so I stayed. CFF: Why did you retire from active wrestling? Hana: My retirement was caused by a serious injury to my shoulder which I received during a match at a live event. Recovering from the injury was very long and painful. The doctors advised me that I should stop wrestling. CFF: Is returning to the mats out of the question or is there a small amount of hope for us fans? Hana: It is always a high risk to wrestle after such an injury so it makes no sense for me to risk a comeback. . But I will continue to work as a coach and will actively be involved with training the wrestlers. Especially in the last few months I have been very active on the mats, wrestling with the girls to prepare and train them. . You will get an impression on just how hard and intensely we fight each other during our training sessions by downloading our "behind-the-scenes"-clips. CFF: In your opinion, what are the characteristics a girl must have to become a good wrestler? Hana: Besides strength and endurance it is necessary that she has a strong fighting spirit and a strong determination to win. Most importantly, she cannot be shy about having physical contact with another girl. To me this is a very decisive factor and I always teach the rookies to overcome their natural shyness quickly because during a fight it's very important to establish pressure on the opponent right from the beginning and then quickly move into close infighting. . And last but not least, the girls should have a lot of fun wrestling. CFF: Do you organize training sessions on a regular base? If yes, how often do you train the girls and what is your schedule? Hana: We train on the average twice a month. We are mainly focusing on fight situations in our training. I coach the popular techniques – pin holds as well as submission holds. But I also teach them about tactics, for example how to position yourself on your opponent and how to develop a “game plan” for the fight. We also discuss the risk of special techniques, the possibility of getting injured and how to avoid injuries. Most days our training sessions become "hot" because the girls always want to show how good and how fit they are. The girls are very mindful of their internal ranking within the group. . We always have a lot of fun during our training sessions. CFF: Will you offer mixed-matches for downloads or on DVD in the future? Hana: Yes, there is absolutely no question of this. We’ll fulfill the wishes of our mixed wrestling fans with fine mixed wrestling matches too. CFF: Are you planning Live Events? Hana: At the moment i have no detailed plans or schedules for a live event. But there will be Foxycombat Events in future. I believe that this is an excellent opportunity to present our company to our fans. It’s also a good chance for fans to feel the more emotional side of female fighting in a live environment. Furthermore it is very important for the girls to get feedback directly from the fans during the matches, to hear the cheers and the applause. Nothing compares to the great atmosphere of a live event. It motivates the female wrestlers more than anything else. CFF: What do you think of men who consider women testing their strength against each other as being quite erotic? Please be honest in your answer! :-) Hana: You may be a little bit surprised, but i do understand those men very well. I, myself, like to watch women fighting each other. Female strength; quick and intense physical action; the anticipation of what happens next; beautiful girls in sexy outfits; and finally female emotions caused by victory or defeat - I think that's quite a few things that men find erotic. CFF: It's great that a former wrestler is now becoming a producer. What kind of fights do you intend to offer for the waiting fans? Hana: We'll offer exciting fights on the mats as well as catfights and female boxing. We'll also produce matches with a more erotic touch and will offer a sort of "sponsor fantasies". This means is that we'll produce special fights for individual tastes in a sense of fulfilling secret fantasies or wishes. On the other hand we won't produce anything that would be illegal, nothing with non-adults and nothing against the dignity of women. We will always focus on the beauty of female fighting. You would not believe how much work this project demands. My strongest desire is that, at the end of the day, I will be able to offer the fans something that is beautiful and worth while through “Hana’s Foxycombat.” CFF: How does your family react to your involvement in the wrestling business? Hana: There are no problems. Quite the opposite, my family is completely aware of my involvement and they give me their full support. It is a very good feeling to get such strong emotional support from those whom you love. It strengthens me greatly. By the way: my Granny is my biggest fan. CFF: What do you consider your most significant victory as a wrestler? Hana: I had a match during the first Women’s Wrestling Convention 1998 in San Diego with the very strong US wrestler Momo, then one of the best wrestlers in the world. Nobody believed in me with most spectators expecting Momo to win. But I finally managed to win the match after an epic battle. I was a little proud of myself after that match CFF: What was your most disappointing defeat? Hana: Oh. I can't remember it at the moment. ;-) CFF: You're in a super trim, beautiful shape. How do you keep your body in such good condition? Hana: That's my secret. ;-) No! to be serious I focus on healthy meals and I do sports in the fresh air on a regular basis. CFF: Do you like men wrestling each other in the same way that men like women wrestling? Hana: Yes, of course. Two guys wrestling each other is a true eye catcher, particularly if f they are sporty, healthy and in masculine shape. CFF: Dear Hana! Many thanks for this Interview. We personally wish you and your team all the best in future and we really hope that you will have a lot of success! See you at www.foxycombat.com.
